01Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how Ankit And Co (a proprietorship firm operated by Bijaya Kumar Sahoo) handles order cancellations, returns, replacements, and refunds for goods supplied and services rendered. It applies to all orders placed with us, including payments made through our online payment channels. This policy is provided in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

02Order Cancellation
- You may request cancellation of an order at any time before it has been dispatched or delivered by contacting us on the phone number or email listed below.
- Where an order is cancelled before dispatch and payment has already been made, the full amount is refunded to the original payment method.
- Once goods have been dispatched or delivered, cancellation is no longer possible; such cases are handled under the Returns & Replacements terms in Section 03.
- For scheduled or recurring supply arrangements, either party may cancel future deliveries with at least 2 business days prior notice, or such shorter notice as we mutually agree.
03Returns & Replacements
We want you to receive your goods in correct and usable condition. If you receive goods that are damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Please notify us promptly, ideally within 48 hours of delivery, with your invoice or order reference and, where possible, a photograph of the item. Reporting quickly helps us resolve the issue faster, but this period does not limit any right you have under applicable law (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Sale of Goods Act, 1930) to reject goods that are defective, not of merchantable quality, or not as described, including latent defects discovered later.
- On verification, we will arrange a replacement or, where a replacement is not possible, a refund of the amount paid for the affected item.
- Goods should be unused and returned with their original packaging, seals, and accessories intact, except where opening or use was necessary to discover the defect, or where the item was defective or incorrect on delivery.
- Goods that are sealed for safety or hygiene reasons cannot be returned once the seal is broken, except where the goods were damaged, defective, short-supplied, or unsafe on delivery, in which case we will replace them or refund the amount paid. Any dispute about whether goods were defective is assessed fairly and, failing resolution, may be referred to the grievance process in Section 08, without prejudice to your statutory rights.
04Refund Eligibility
A refund is issued in the following situations:
- An order is cancelled before dispatch.
- Goods supplied are damaged, defective, or different from what was ordered, and a replacement is not provided.
- A confirmed order cannot be fulfilled by us for any reason.
- A duplicate payment or an incorrect amount was charged.
05Refund Method & Timelines
- Refunds are made to the original payment method used for the transaction (UPI, card, bank transfer, or the relevant payment channel).
- Where a refund arises because an order is cancelled before dispatch, a confirmed order cannot be fulfilled by us, or a duplicate or incorrect amount was charged, the refund is processed automatically, without requiring any further request from you.
- We initiate every refund within 2 business days of it becoming due, and it is completed within 5 to 7 business days. This period is counted from the date the refund becomes due (for example, the date of cancellation, the date we confirm we cannot fulfil an order, or the date a wrong or duplicate charge is identified), not from any later internal approval.
- The amount may take a further 2 to 4 business days to reflect in your account depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Refunds are made for the value of the goods or service. Any delivery charge is refunded where the entire order is cancelled or the fault is ours. Where applicable, any GST charged on a cancelled or returned supply is refunded together with the price, as we are entitled to adjust the tax through a credit note.
06Services & Non-Refundable Items
- For LPG cylinders, the price charged is the applicable rate, and any cylinder security deposit is governed by your connection terms. Once a sealed cylinder has been delivered and accepted, a refund or return is available only where the cylinder was wrong, damaged, short-filled, or unsafe on delivery.
- For services already performed, fees are non-refundable; where a service has only been partly delivered, a pro-rata refund is considered for the portion not yet rendered.
- Goods that are perishable, consumed, or used, and items that cannot be returned for health or safety reasons once opened, are not eligible for refund unless they were defective, damaged, or unsafe on delivery, in which case your right to a replacement or refund continues to apply.
- Only genuinely non-recoverable third-party statutory charges, if any, are retained from a refund, and we will tell you what these are.

We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 7 business days of receipt. Nothing in this policy affects your right to approach the consumer disputes redressal commission having jurisdiction, or the National Consumer Helpline (1915). This policy is governed by the laws of India, with the courts at Rourkela, Odisha having jurisdiction, without limiting any statutory consumer right.
